Createamity: emplotability skills through portable escape quests

Aims & objectives

The training aimed to provide youth workers & youth leader with tools, frameworks and space to create and playtest educational portable quest rooms and outdoor quests that foster soft skill development in young people.

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

The group was formed by gather 23 youth workers/leaders from Estonia, Czech Republic, Poland, Bulgaria, Malta, Sweden, Greece and Romania.

Training methods used & main activities

The training program covered introduction to game-based learning, escape room principles, educational quest design, practical sessions on creating own game concepts, testing the concepts, documenting games and reflecting on the application of such methodology in work with youth.

Outcomes of the activity

Three educational escape room concepts.
A set of three escape room outlines with step by step instructions and printable materials ready to use.

Your tasks and responsibilities within the team

I was part of the team as a graphic facilitator/recorder in charge of creating visual daily summaries based on the program's sessions and group dynamics; support trainers with development of visual versions of the content pass on to participants; design and formatting of project results.

I worked on this training for 7 days as a full time trainer.
