Coordinators Beyond Walls - Capacity Building Training for Peace Week Coordinators

Aims & objectives

The aim of the training was to prepare Peace Week Coordinators in international atmosphere, discuss different aspects of Peace weeks and their preparation, international cooperation in SCI, leadership, solving conflicts and other issues related to leading a camp. The special focus of the training was human rights and peace issues.

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

An international group of 16 participants coming from 8 countries - Greece, Italy, the Netherlands, Hungary, Germany, Serbia, Spaing and Bulgaria.

Training methods used & main activities

Different set of non-formal methods was used such as: group work, work in small groups, discussions, role games, theatre, showering, human library, video presentations, reflection groups, etc.

Outcomes of the activity

The participants left the training as experts on SCI topics, well informed on the project covered topics, capable peace week coordinators, aware of some new technical skills, specialists in conflict transformation.

Preparation, delivery and reporting of the training.

I worked on this training for 6 days as a full time trainer.
