Contact Making Seminar 'Creating Quality in Europe'

The training activity took place
in Toledo, Spain.
organised by ConseJoven CR
13-19 mayo 2019

Aims & objectives

ConseJoven CR is a regional youth council in Spain that looks to promote associations, youth participation and volunteering.
This project was born with the idea of stimulating the quality of European youth projects in different ways:
 Provide a deeper and updated knowledge about the Erasmus+: Youth and the European Solidarity Corps programs: objectives, priorities, eligible criteria and project evaluation methodology.
 Create a long-lasting and qualitative network of international cooperation in Erasmus+ & ESC.
 Offer a space to generate ideas for future European projects, and start elaborating those projects.
 Share good and bad practices to develop the quality of projects.

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

20 youth workers belonging to one of the 7 partner organizations, from: Spain, Italy, Bulgaria, Latvia, North Macedonia, Romania, and Turkey.

Training methods used & main activities

We focused the CMS in three parts: first and foremost, developing a team spirit; second, explain in detail the different actions within Erasmus+ and ESC; the third and most important, the practice: the participants gathered in groups according to their organizations interest and needs and started developing real projects. We were there to guide and facilitate that process, and give feedback on the different steps.

We included daily reflections in couples and using a document we created based on the YouthPass key competence.

Outcomes of the activity

The international network created as part of the project is live, and some of the projects were presented in following deadlines.
I, myself, am in partnership for one project with one of the partners.

Your tasks and responsibilities within the team

I was the main trainer/facilitator of the project. I had help from 2 EVS volunteers of the organization.
I wrote the project together with the organizer.
During the CMS, I prepared and reviewed daily the program of activities in order to bring the changes needed to adapt to the participants needs, situation or other external factors.

I worked on this training for 6 days as a full time trainer.
