Aims & objectives

Aim:
To foster cooperation between EVS Organizations aiming at increased quality and innovation in EVS through the exchange of good practices.
The objectives of the project were:
- Establishing and deepening EVS partnership through experiential learning;
- Learning about various mechanisms to increase quality and innovation in EVS;
- Exchanging of good practices in national and international contexts;
- Discovering EVS realities in Armenia through study visits.

The aim and objectives of the project met objectives of the Erasmus+ Programme in terms of:
- bringing contribution to fostering quality improvements in youth work through enhanced cooperation between organizations in the youth field and other stakeholders;
- enhancing the international dimension of youth activities and the role of youth workers and organizations as support structures for young people;
- reinforcing promotion of mobility and cooperation between stakeholders from Programme and Partner Countries and international organizations and through targeted capacity building in Partner Countries.

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

22 participants from 12 countries (Armenia, Germany, Estonia, Czech Republic, Poland, Georgia, The Netherland, Moldova, Russia, Italy, Spain and Belarus) who have the following criteria:
* Involved as an EVS support person, EVS coordinator, EVS Mentor/Tutor and have experience in youth work;
* Strong interest and motivation on the topic;
* Interest in reliable partnerships and new EVS projects;
* Will to increase quality and innovation in their EVS projects;
* Will to contribute to the project through sharing best practices
* Good level of English to follow the course and ability to participate fully in the event,
* European volunteers under the EVS programme are NOT allowed to participate.

Training methods used & main activities

The Contact Making Event is based on the principles of non-formal learning and will furtherly contribute to the recognition of it. The experienced project team will guide the participants to establish partnership between EVS Organizations aiming at increased quality and innovation in EVS.
The EVS Contact Making Event will be based on the following elements:
* Offering a meeting space for EVS accredited organizations to develop partnerships and afterwards to be able to submit good quality applications and effectively implement European Voluntary Service.
* Providing a learning context for sharing knowledge and experiences between organizations and representatives involved in youth work developing voluntary activities.
* Reflecting on the roles, responsibilities and challenges within the EVS volunteer support system.
* Raising awareness of the learning dimension in EVS and provide tools for learning support and personal development.
* Study Visits to local NGOs working with EVS Volunteers in Gyumri and Yerevan.

Outcomes of the activity

Participants of CMS have the possibility to establish and deepen EVS partnership through experiential learning; to learn various mechanisms to increase quality and innovation in EVS; to exchange good practices in national and international contexts; to discover EVS realities in Armenia through study visits.
The impact of the Contact Making Event was to foster quality improvements in youth work through enhanced cooperation between organizations in the youth field and other stakeholders.

Your tasks and responsibilities within the team

To work on team of trainers and create an environment where participants are in the best possible mindset to learn from the trainers and other participants, to create a framework where participants will learn and share about their particular knowledge and experience, and be creative and innovative in developing solutions to the issues presented during the project. To provide space and support for participants to develop project ideas for future cooperation in framework of Erasmus+ programme.

I worked on this training for 7 days as a full time trainer.
