Aims & objectives

• Reflect on the challenges faced by Young people nowadays (lack of employability, economical crisis, forced migration due to lack of work, etc)
• Bring together youth workers and youth leaders from different cultures to share ideas and ways of using volunteering in social and sports activities for the development of employability skills of young people
• Reflect on the different ways in which volunteering in social and sports activities can be used to fight against racism and to enhance Citizenship
• Enhance the knowledge of participants as to the EUROMED program
• Develop future YiA and Euromed projects around the themes of Volunteering and Employability Skills

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

Youth Workers, Youth Leaders and Sports people from Lebanon, UK, Italy, Spain, Jordan and Egypt

1. Knowledge as to meaning of employability skills and how it is developed through volunteering
2. Recognition of skills gained through volunteering
3. Volunteering day for local children and young people
4. In depth knowledge on Active Citizenship, Participation, Erasmus Plus, and specifically EVS
5. Project ideas by participants
