The training activity took place
in Velbert, Germany

Aims & objectives

- to raise awareness for cultural differences and their impact on intercultural co-operation,
- to enable team members to work efficiently and appropriate in an international team,
- to build and develop a team for a multicultural youth exchange in summer 2007.

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

Twin town partners from Scottland, France and Germany (project co-ordinators, social worker and future team-members of an multilateral youth exchange)

Training methods used & main activities

Team-building exercises with reflection, case studies, short presentations, discussions.

Outcomes of the activity

Raising the quality of team work on both levels, between co-ordinators and team-members and inbetween these two levels by understanding cultural differences, overcoming structural differences and first team building and team reparation for the youth exchange in the following year.

To prepare and carry out the training event.

I worked on this training for 3 days as a full time trainer.
