Aims & objectives

Training for experienced youth workers, who intervene in the different conflict areas: social, cultural, ethnic, territorial, etc... that aims at exploring non-formal learning possibilities for youth from unstable, volatile communities.

The Training focused on cooperation within Youth in Action Programme between organisations from Programme Countries, Eastern Europe and Caucasus as well as South East Europe neighbouring regions.
Objectives:

.To explore the youth work experiences and developments in conflict areas;
.To rise the skills and abilities in pro-active interventions in youth field of conflict zones;
.To build up the partnerships for future projects within Youth in Action Programme in the area of youth work in unstable, volatile communities;

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

International team of trainers were consisted of Eveliaa Taunaite (Lithuania), Oscar Konya (Serbia), me - Giorgi Kakulia (Georgia), Tomasz Szopa (SALTO EECA), Maja Letho (SALTO SEE), Handan Boyar (Turkish NA).

Training methods used & main activities

Simulation exercises, Role plays, Interactive presentations, Field studies/activities, Reflection sessions etc.

Outcomes of the activity

The main outcome of the TC was the improved competences of participant in relation to conflict management. Participants learned how to deal with conflicts, how to manage and prevent conflicts in daily life. Participants improved their knowledge on international youth work and funding possibilities through Youth in Action programme.

All this outcomes where identified through evaluation session and written evaluation questionnaire.

Educational report was published as a result of the training course.

Your tasks and responsibilities within the team

My role in the team was co-trainer, meaning that I had to take part in designing programme during preparatory meeting, selection of participants, running sessions during the training itself, evaluation of the TC and input to the final report.

I worked on this training for 6 days days as a full time trainer.
