Aims & objectives


The main goal of the project is to increase the capacity of the European youth work sector to support the implementation of Agenda 2030 with a focus on sustainability in all its dimensions.
More specific objectives:
1.To develop practical global citizenship competencies among Youth Workers from 8 countries with a focus on agenda 2030, climate change, sustainable lifestyle and responsible consumption.
2.To motivate, prepare and accompany at least 8 youth organizations (from 8 different countries) to become Sustainable organizations in their practices and to mainstream sustainability values in their projects.
3.To encourage the European civil society at large to become more sustainable through a collection of innovative, creative, simple and motivating examples of sustainability and global citizenship practices in the youth work field.

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

Youth workers, trainers and active members of our partner organizations from the following countries: Bulgaria, Italy, Latvia, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania and Serbia. Participants who had high personal motivation/passion for the cause of the project: Agenda 2030, Sustainability, Climate Change and the Wellbeing of our world (people and planet).

The flow of the project:
-First residential training tackling topics of Global Interdependencies, Sustainable Development Goals, Climate Change, Sustainable Life Style, Responsible Consumption and Global Citizenship in day to day life– the main purpose of the training is to build competencies of Youth Workers to apply in their day to day life responsible global citizenship in relation with the Agenda 2030 (21-30 November 2022 in Norway)
-Life Style Changes – The Youth workers will put into practice a personal action plan to change their lifestyle and be more sustainable. They will be coached and supported in this matter by the project team (November 2022- March 2023)
-Second residential training will focus on the Institutional Power in the context of Agenda 2030, deepening the knowledge of the project topics, exploring tools and practices for an organisation to be more sustainable and have more sustainable practices as well as engaging in advocacy campaigns to contribute to more sustainable communities. (27th March – 5th April 2023 Norway)
-Institutional/ Organizational Level Changes – each partner will undergo an assessment process of their organization (using tools provided by the team) and draft an action for becoming a more sustainable organization and more active in advocacy initiatives. (May –October 2023)

Outcomes of the activity

-Assessment on the level of different sustainability practices in the organizations
-Sustainability strategies and other relevant internal documents that would help the organizations to be more sustainable, developed by the participants in the projects.
-Developed global citizenship competences and action plan how to use them in their personal and professional life
-Database of resources for education on the covered topics
