TOY - Trainers Online for Youth
This is a reference for Ioanna Nolia Lefa
The main objectives of the project:
1. Provide training and support to youth workers to develop digital skills and use ICT tools in their work with young people.
2. Create and share a toolkit for youth workers that provides practical guidance on the use of ICT tools and methods in youth work.
3. Foster collaboration and networking among youth workers and organizations from different European countries to share best practices and approaches.
4. Increase the digital literacy of young people, particularly those with fewer opportunities, and promote their active participation in digital activities.
5. Contribute to the development of digital content and pedagogical practices in youth work that are tailored to the needs and interests of young people.
6. Raise awareness about the Erasmus Plus program and promote cultural dialogue.
The training course consisted of youth workers from the Netherlands, Portugal, Romania, Bulgaria, Czechia, Slovakia, and Ukraine.
We used interactive, non-formal, and experiential methods for the training course, such as debates, simulations, designing of activities and media, and group discussions.
The participants worked on real-life examples of using ICT tools to engage and motivate their target groups and displayed their creations in an event that was open to the local public. They gathered their learnings and findings in a guide for other youth workers.
I was one of the two trainers, who wereresponsible for the schedule of the training course and the delivery of the sessions, focusing especially on the start and end of the program.
