TOY - Trainers Online for Youth
This is a reference for Susana Alves
The project aim was to increase competences in youth workers in developing and implementing youth mobility projects for participants with intellectual disabilities.
The need to promote these projects and increase the quality in the support of participants with disabilities fit the aims of the involved organisations that work with people with disabilities or want to involve this target in mobility projects.
The TC involved 24 youth workers that work as project managers, from Italy, Lithuania, Spain, Hungary, Portugal, Sweden, Greece, Malta, Austria and Latvia. The project is inclusive and involved participants with disabilities and fewer opportunities as well.
The main method is co-planning and co-creation of the programme with the participants, to respect and fit their learning needs. Other than this, peer learning, exchange of good practices, Living Library and partnership building activities and methods to co-create new projects and partnerships.
New partnerships were born and new project collaborations in the youth field are being done.
