Aims & objectives

The partnership building activity had the following aims and objectives:
*To create an open space for meeting partner organisations for future international cooperation.

*To explore Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps as tools for designing inclusive projects especially with young people with disabilities or health challenges.

*To work on self-assessment and share concrete information, experiences as well as (still) open questions with other professionals.

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

In total 26 organizations from 13 different countries participated. Self-representing and self-advocating organisations as well as welfare organisations offering activities to youth with disabilities were able to connect and create projects.
National Agency Officers from Hungary, Estonia and Germany were present to answer questions and give advice. They were part of the organising team. I was part of the facilitating team together with 2 trainer-colleagues from Slovenia and Finnland.

Training methods used & main activities

Mix of different methods to create a space where participants find trustfull partners:
- Working groups of different size with group questions; presenting results in plenum
- Open Space (starting with prolongued coffee break with contact making task à la facebook - find thumbs up)
- theatre pedagogical methods (e.g. Boal's statue theatre)
- expert talking sessions (guided by interests and questions of the group)

Outcomes of the activity

In total 4 projects were concretized in the field of youth exchange and youth workers mobility (Erasmus + KA1 and KA2). Participants committed themselves and agreed on concrete further steps for cooperating after the event. Next to this some (at the moment) informal contacts were established for possible future cooperation in the European Solidarity Corps- program. At the end of the event participants filled in an online questionnaire.
Most of the participants felt more ready to organise an E+ or ESC project (total 23) than before the activity. The knowledge about E+ and ESC has clearly increased.
The results of the “dartboard” evaluation during the last session of the event show similar results. Most participants were satisfied with the content and methods as well as with the timing of the event. The group atmosphere got the most positive rating.
The report on this training has been handed over to the organising NAs.
