Aims & objectives

The activity have been carried on in the frame of the Italian NA EVS Medium Term Evaluation.
The objectives of the activity were:
- to evaluate the EVS projects in general
- to assess knowledge and competencies of the volunteers
- to give the volunteers tools to fulfil the Youthpass
- to support the volunteers in linking the EVS experience to other fields (i.e. university, work)

The main need of the volunteers was to understand in depth the acquired competences and to value them.

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

The target group was composed of 31 international EVS volunteers coming from Spain, England, Jordan, Hungary, Poland, Greece, Cyprus, Turkey, Armenia, Latvia, Germany, aged between 19 and 30.

Training methods used & main activities

Ice-breakers, name games, role play (i.e. EVS Parliament, Employability skills), short drama, target game, lotus flower game.

Outcomes of the activity

As a curricular activity of the Italian NA, the aim of the training was to monitor the EVS projects and assess volunteers competences and skills. Through the evaluation tools used during the seminar training and the final questionnaires, the following outcomes can be mentioned as a successful result of the activity:
- The volunteers are able to list the competences acquired during the EVS project.
- The volunteers are able to fulfil the Youthpass
- The volunteers are able to use the acquired competences and to value them.

Your tasks and responsibilities within the team

I have worked with another trainer and we have equally shared all the sessions of the programme. In particular, I have been in charge of the sessions linked to intercultural dialogue and communication and assessment tools.

I worked on this training for 3 days as a full time trainer.
