Zero-Energy Building-Black Sea Basin Programme Partnership

Promoting climate change adaptation, and disaster risk prevention, resilience, taking into account ecosystem based approaches

Climate change is already affecting the world, including the countries of the Black Sea Basin.Carbon emissions are the key factor accelerating these changes, and it is our obligation to apply prevention and mitigation measures. At the European level, the climate law or the European Green Deal, the road map to climate neutrality, is adopted.
The aim of the project is to transform education buildings into models of energy sustainability, by increasing energy efficiency, reducing dependence on traditional energy sources and realizing the concept of "near-zero emission buildings" in education as part of the public sector. Old educational buildings are important consumers of thermal and electrical energy, ZEB4AN proposes several actions to reduce energy consumption, reduce carbon emissions and promote sustainability by implementing infrastructure renovation solutions. Planned actions: 1. Renovation of the infrastructure of partners' school buildings by changing the roof and implementing thermal insulation measures and/or other technical measures to improve energy performance and reduce energy consumption; 2. Implementing renewable energy solutions to generate clean electricity and offset the building's reliance on conventional energy, thus reducing carbon emissions; 3. Continuous monitoring and evaluation of the performance of energy saving measures implemented through effective energy management.
