Düzce Governorship EU Projects and Foreign Affairs Office

Düzce Governorship is a local public administrative organization authorized to monitor, coordinate and cooperate all the non-profit private business concerns, organizations and institutions including provincial directorate of national education, forestry and water affairs, culture and tourism, local health, environment, public security and civil society organizations.Its EU Projects and Foreign Affairs Office is also responsible for all projects planned and implemented in these directorates. It cooperates with local and international organizations to conduct Erasmus Plus and IPA projects.The Governorships areas of activity cover the following fields:
-To assist and guide public institutions, NGOs, district governors, universities, vocational institutions, development agencies who are volunteering to conduct projects and provide regional cooperation so as to benefit from European and national funds which will foster the social and financial development
-To conduct dissemination activities about European Union full membership process and European programmes to create awareness more effectively
-To provide coordination between project teams in public institutions , universities and municipalities
-To organize training and workshop activities about planning and management of projects
-Share the existing knowledge and experience with other organizations enthusiastic to work on projects and introduce all the favourable programmes announced by EU.
-Aim to manage the relationships and secure the corporation between the private business concerns, organizations or institutions and EU Ministry, EU Commission, international organizations during the implementation processes of the programmes. As it can be concluded from the above mentioned, Düzce Governorship has both the experience and the necessary human resources to implement the project.Furthermore, its connections and network are for major importance,while its areas of activity match with those of the project and address to the same target groups and final beneficiaries. Hence, as a partner it will both add value and have multiple benefits that will enhance the welfare of the citizens in the region.
OTHER INTERNATIONAL PROJECTS
Düzce Governorship EU Projects and Foreign Affairs Office has been founded for the purpose of promoting all kinds of EU Projects throughout the city. It has necessary contacts with all age, social, ethnic or other groups and writing and implementing projects for all groups in the city.The Governorship has carried out “Vap-Pro Town-Twinning Program”-EU Grant- with the partnership of Dubrovnik, Croatia and “Kardüz Valley is Getting Ready for Winter Tourism Project”-local grant- with the partnership of Salzburg, Austria. It has also carried out a nationally funded project named “Development of Düzce Tourism with Modern Applications and Innovative Methods “ .
