Youth Work(s) for Employability

Youth Work(s) for Employability will be a 8-day Training Course tackling youth unemployment and exploring youth entrepreneurship and NFE as ways to combat it.

Academic Society "Novi Beograd" is looking for partners for the project “Youth Work(s) for Employability” that is planning to submit to EACEA on 2nd of September deadline. The project will be a 8-day Training course for youth workers and youth leaders coming from 10 European countries that will be organized in summer 2016 in Serbia.

SUMMARY OF THE PROJECT:

The project “Youth Work(s) for Employability” will explore the phenomena of unemployment, especially youth unemployment as one of the biggest challenges that European countries face today and how youth organisations through youth work and non-formal education can address this vital issue. In the same time, the project will explore and promote youth entrepreneurship as a tool to overcome unemployment and will discuss and work on practical non-formal education tools and activities that can increase young people’s chances to get employed or start their own business.

The Training course will explore current situations in European countries regarding unemployment and discuss the need for sustainable and inclusive solutions to address the problem. The project will also serve as a space to map the socio-economic issues and complications connected with unemployment while in the same time identifying relevant problems or deficiencies and offering possible concrete solutions and actions that can overcome them. During the project, relevant EU strategies, initiatives and support opportunities concerning unemployment, youth unemployment and entrepreneurship will be introduced and discussed.

Participants of the project will also have the opportunity to learn how to teach young people to create and work on business plans by doing it by themselves during the Training course. Participants will also create toolbox of non-formal educational activities for working on youth unemployment, entrepreneurship and improving entrepreneurial and transversal skills that can be used by them, their organisations or others working with youth.
The project methodology will be based on non-formal education, experiential and intercultural learning with strong encouragement of sharing personal experiences, knowledge and best practices.

ELIGIBLE COUNTRIES:

We are looking for partners organisations from EU Programme countries (28 EU member states + Macedonia + Turkey) or Partner Western Balkan countries (Serbia, Montenegro, Albania, Kosovo (UNSCR 1244) and Bosnia and Herzegovina). Each partner organisation should send 3 participants.

PROFILE OF PARTICIPANTS:

Youth workers, youth leaders, project managers, volunteers in youth organisations, NGO/public sector staff working with youth, over 18 years old, involved in the work of the organisations and with good command of the English language.

FINANCIAL CONDITIONS:

The applicant organisation will fully cover the accommodation, meals and program materials for the participants. Travel costs will be covered up to the 100% if they do not exceed the amounts established by the Erasmus+ Programme .
