It 'a project that will be presented September 1, 2014 the program Europe for Citizens

The EU aims to be closer to citizens, therefore it brings them the opportunity to compare themselves and be involved in EU policy making.
Active citizenship not only implies a sense of EU belonging but also an intercultural dialogue for building a joint and relevant EU.
Discussion and democratic participation raise citizens awareness and enhanced their active, responsible and solidary participation.

1st June 2015 – 31st May 2017 (if we consider the maximum duration of 24 months)

Fostering democratic participation, solidarity and cohesion of European Union through dissemination of European policies and priorities of Europe 2020 strategy.

Creating a thematic network based on Europe 2020 strategy and specially on sustainable growth priority through the exchange of best practices and tools to promote environmental sustainability in urban areas. It will be done by the involvement of 100 representatives of public institutions and associations from 10 European countries.

RESULTS:

1. Improved knowledge sharing tools that increase the environmental sustainability of cities (urban gardens, car sharing, bikesharing, GAS) through sharing best practices
2. Elaborated of a proposal for sharing tools for participants sending municipalities
3. Strengthened long-term cities networks.

- On line platform creation
- On line Conference on Europe 2020 ; solidarity sharing tools ;environmental and urban sustainability
- Best practices exchange – Elaboration of a handbook and informative materials on paper and on line.
2 . PROJECTING
- Seminar on european project, funding instruments and proposals presentation.
- Workshop of proposal drafting
3 . SHARING & INFORMING
- European citizenship Festival : presentation of elaborated proposals.

- Convention signature.
Selected partners should participate in the meeting, prepare their own projects, monitoring results in their own countries, involve citizens and encourage them to participate in the network and all activities and events.

• Interactive seminars, discussions and workshops, learn in groups and share documents through online platform.

• Unemployment citizens, elderly, youth, young mothers, anziani, giovani, ragazze madri, disabled, volunteers, children, immigrants
• Representatives of this kind of associations except for the final event involving citizens from host city, with particular attention to the involvement of the mentioned categories.

• Regional/local authorities, asociations (Coldiretti - transport) Volunteering associations, NGO, twinning cities.
• Willing to create a long-term thematic cooperation.
• Present in urban periferic areas or disadvantaged or high rate of unemployment and inmigration.
