WHAT CAN YOU(TH) DO? - EMPOWERING YOUTH THROUGH ACTIVE CITIZENSHIP

The objectives of the project are mainly to:
- Teach young people how to to be active citizens: “Learn to Participate”
- Promote the overall personal development of young people as active citizens in diverse and democratic societies.
Get more young people to take part in social projects, and especially in decision-making processes
Make participants become more engaged in the youth rights debate and emphasize the role of young people in peacebuilding process
Create a skilled and civic minded youth who can act in their political and civic life and who can promote and defend their own rights
Enable young people to be architects of their own lives, support their personal development and growth to autonomy, build their resilience and equip them with life skills to cope with a changing world
Empower and encourage youth to participate actively in shaping society – and especially a more integrated Europe
Encourage young people to direct their interests and concerns to a specific public issue and encourage young people to influence policies that affect them;
Debate the importance to have a voice in Europe, where young people are equal citizens and are encouraged and supported to achieve their fullest potential as global citizens
Connect young people from different backgrounds and countries to listen to and appreciate each others' ideas and experience, endorsing intercultural understanding, democracy, respect, diversity, human rights, active citizenship and solidarity

Encourage and equip young people with the necessary resources to become active citizens, agents of solidarity and positive change inspired by EU values and a European identity
Contribute to the eradication of youth poverty and all forms of discrimination and promote social inclusion of young people.
Promote equality and non-discrimination, recognising that young people are at risk of facing multiple forms of discrimination including age-based discrimination
Give the opportunity to be involved in and influence EU youth policy making
