This project aims: to reduce existing bullying problems among students,to achieve better peer relations at school and mainly to prevent new bullying problems
Bullying remains one of the largest problems in schools. Bullying can threaten students’ physical and emotional safety at school and can negatively impact their ability to learn. The best way to address bullying is to stop it before it starts.
The workshops will learn about adolescent preconceptions about bullying and from the knowledge that we provide them to access a wider view of bullying, also taking into account the implications of the cyberbullying (cyberbullying). The workshops amis to empower youth to become effective allies in incidents of bias and bullying by increasing their understanding of the impact of name-calling, bullying and other bias behaviors on their school and community, educating them about the specific role of being an ally, teaching them a process to assess the safety of intervening, and providing them with opportunities to develop and practice the variety of alternative responses to take action against name-calling and bullying. This will be achieved through various activities to deepen the subject, knowledge, awareness of the need for the complaint and request for help. At the close of the workshop they will discuss the lessons learned and produce a guide for implementing in their schools in order to prevent bullying at the class room.
