Global Network for Rights and Development- Spain

Global Network For Rights And Development
(GNRD) is an international NGO founded in
June 2008 in Norway by Loai Deeb, PhD in
International Law.
GNRD was created in order to support
human rights and its development, and thus
to improve living conditions of all citizens by
increasing the freedom to live in dignity, as
well as to eradicate poverty of all people. To
this end, GNRD works in consultative status
with the United Nations and collaborates
with the European Parliament and the
African Union Commission, in favour of the
respect for the Universal Declaration of
Human Rights in all countries.
Among our objectives are the strengthening
of civil society and the defence and
promotion of human rights, the reduction of
fraud, the confidence of the electorate in the
electoral process, the reduction of conflicts,
the collection of testimonies of voters, and
the improvement of the electoral process
through the elaboration of reports that
include our recommendations.
We must highlight that GNRD has
participated several times as an international
observer during the elections in Sudan,
Jordan, Algeria and Egypt, always acting
according to independence, impartiality and
neutrality, and ensuring the fulfilment of the
mechanisms of democracy.
Likewise, GNRD is an organisation that
aims to fight against poverty and injustice
and to promote sustainable human
development with and for disadvantaged
populations. This is all part of a broader
global movement aimed to ensure that
all human beings can fully exercise their
rights and enjoy dignified lives.
Objectives:
Working jointly, as well as forming networks and
alliances, with other organisations in the North and
in the South committed to the defence of human
rights and the development of peoples.
• Fostering collaboration and partnership between
public and private stakeholders in academic,
technical and political circles, in order to promote
and protect human rights.
• Protecting and supporting the most vulnerable
groups of population suffering from humanitarian
crisis and armed conflicts, through the provision of humanitarian aid and, when needed, through the provision of mediation support; always acting in accordance with international law and International
Conventions of the United Nations.
• Supporting democratisation and citizen
participation in the context of human rights, in
order to promote greater equity and social justice.
• Promoting the exercise of fundamental human
rights and gender equality in developing countries as well as improving quality of life of people living in poverty and exclusion.
