One Drop of Awareness, A Wave of Change! WATER-ACT seeks KA153 partners to empower youth workers for digital advocacy and local action to protect water for all.

WATER-IMPACT: From Awareness to Digital and Social Activism

The aim of our project is to improve the professional competencies of youth workers in the fields of water management, water pollution, water security, water footprint, digital advocacy, and social entrepreneurship.

The project aims to enable youth workers to holistically evaluate water use in industry, agriculture, urban life, and digital technologies; to transform field observations into training activities; and to develop methods to mobilize young people in the face of environmental problems.

In the second phase of the project, the acquired knowledge and methods will be transferred to other employees working in partner organizations and, in particular, to young people aged 13-30 living in rural areas with limited socioeconomic opportunities or who are more affected by environmental problems.

Targeted Partnership

A total of 5 organizations, including the coordinator and 4 partner organizations.

Organizations operating particularly in the fields of youth work, environment, sustainability, digital education, active citizenship, or social entrepreneurship;

* Partnerships are aimed at with:
* Youth centers,
* Non-governmental organizations,
* Educational institutions,
* Local governments,
* Public institutions.

Proposed Project Activities

1. Professional Development Activity for Youth Workers

* Duration: 5 days
* Number of participants: Approximately 30 youth workers
* Approximately 6 participants from each partner organization
* Activity name: **WATER-ACT Water and Youth Work Laboratory**

The activity aims to improve the competencies of youth workers in water literacy, sustainable water management, field observation, use of environmental data, non-formal learning, digital advocacy, and social entrepreneurship.

Five-Day Program

Day 1 – Understanding Water Problems and Situation Analysis

Day 2 – Water Literacy and Youth Work

Day 3 – Field Visit and Observation Study

Day 4 – Digital Advocacy and Content Production

Day 5 – Local Solution Development and Dissemination Planning

Follow-up Activities

1. Organizing at least one WATER-ACT Information Sharing Day in each partner organization,
2. Each organization carrying out at least one Local Water Action with young people,

Other Activities

- Preparing a joint digital water map,
- Creating a digital visibility area for the project,
- Managing social media accounts,
- Preparing short videos, podcasts, infographics, and digital stories,
- Developing at least five social initiatives or local solution ideas,
- Organizing local awareness activities according to the working conditions of each organization.

Expected Outcomes

- Increased knowledge levels of youth workers on water management and water pollution issues,
- Improved skills in transforming field observations into training activities for young people,
- Preparation of safe and evidence-based digital advocacy content,
- Active participation of young people in solving local water problems,
- Transferring project gains to the future youth work of partner organizations.
