URGENT! Don't Wish, Just Say No

Our group has decided to create a project with a conference and seminar about combating drug use in children and young adult. Our research has shown us the results of why and when children and young adults tend to turn to drugs because of their home life, then their community, and exposure to the source of drugs through social media. If we could implement our projects and activities we do with our leaders through seminars create a better awareness of children and young adults drug use intend to prevent it.

The main objectives of our project:
1 - To prevent substance abuse
2 - To raise awareness to the children about the harm that drugs can do
3 - To show how society and communities play a role.
4 - To establish communication between people
5 - Cultural exchange

In our project we want to address the following topics:
1 - That children who are exposed to domestic violence are more likely to use drugs
2 - Children can be introduced through peer groups.
3 - In order to change society, we need to change ourselves. Even if this is one person at a time.
4 - To expose the harmful effects of drugs
5 - So that children know that they can make the right choices and not let others thoughts change them.

Our project named 'Don't wish, just say No' goals with; is to raise awareness about children substance abuse, the dangers of substanbe abuse, how to avoid it, and how the community can play a role on children and drugs. We are currently looking for partners and candidates from both the countries of the European Union and those who aren't for the project title " Don’t Wish, Just Say No'' that will be held in Diyarbakir, Turkey. The forecasted date is from 23-29 of April 2015, may be flexible.

Our project named 'Don't wish, just say No' goals with; is to raise awareness about children substance abuse, the dangers of substance abuse, how to avoid it, and how the community can play a role on children and drugs. The total amount of participants we are looking to have is 30 from the ages of 18-25 years old and the goal of the project is to raise awareness about drug abuse in children and young adults, where it begins from, and how to stop it.

In order to create our project, we want to raise the awareness and open people’s eyes so that they can better understand the situation. We want to help send out a warning to children as well, and help them take control of their life. Our participants will learn and understand these warnings from their country, understand the signs and what causes substance abuse in children and be able to help out when situation arises. With our project taking place in Diyarbakir, it will help contribute to the local economy at the same time. in the long run, those who are in the European Union society will receive information about the project and others may want to participate in this project in the future. This way both the European Union and Turkish National Agency will have to advertise about this idea.
