Youth worker training course aimed to develop skills for social inclusion, empowerment and support for disabled youth through the tools of mindfulness and sound
The current Erasmus+ program is a training program for youth workers aimed to develop innovative skills for informal education and support for social and work inclusion of youth with special needs and intellectual difficulties by the tools of sound and mindfulness. The participants will be trained by interactive and informal methods of education by trained art therapists and psychologists with artistic skills in self-development, creative play, non-verbal and non-violent communication, social and work inclusion, and non-formal education. The program aims to strengthen emotional resilience, enhance communication skills, and promote holistic wellbeing for both practitioners and beneficiaries. Activities will take place from 20.03.2026 to 31.03.2026 in Dolni Rakovets, Bulgaria. The full infopack is attached to the call.
This Erasmus+ training course brings together youth workers to explore sound healing, artistic tools, non-verbal and non-violent communication, and mindfulness within the context of social work. Through experiential workshops, participants will learn how to adapt these methods to support individuals with special needs and create inclusive, accessible learning environments.
The participants should first experience different approaches by themselves and then have the opportunity to apply learned methods in interaction and practical work with intellectually disabled youth. Youth with special needs will be participants of the project and will engage equally in all activities. All participants should be ready to engage in creative educational methods, participate in active self-work and apply the acquired knowledge and skills in their work with special needs people. At all times, all participants should be inclusive and supportive of people with intellectual difficulties.
By the end of the course, participants will be equipped with practical, sensitive tools to improve the quality of support offered in their communities.
