The European Echo

KA152 Youth Exchange in Poland tackling political polarization & echo chambers via Media Literacy and Non-Violent Communication.

"The European Echo" is a KA152 Youth Exchange hosted by Fundacja Idearium in Poland. We are building a 6-country consortium to directly support the European Union’s strategic priority of defending democracy, strengthening civic resilience, and combating political polarization.

During a 7-day mobility in Poland, 36 young people (5 participants + 1 group leader per country) will use Non-Formal Education (NFE) to develop digital resilience. Through workshops on Media Literacy and Non-Violent Communication (NVC), participants will learn to dismantle digital echo chambers, overcome self-censorship, and engage in peaceful civic dialogue.

We are currently looking for reliable partners from Spain and Lithuania to complete our consortium. Partners will be responsible for participant preparation and co-facilitating one thematic workshop during the mobility.

Economic obstacles: Young people from low-income households or unemployed youth who lack the financial means to access international mobility, digital literacy courses, or intercultural networking outside of this grant. Educational difficulties: Early school leavers or youth struggling within the formal education system who lack structured guidance in critical thinking, media literacy, and identifying disinformation. Cultural differences: Young people from immigrant backgrounds or ethnic minorities who face cultural stigmatization, utilizing our Non-Violent Communication (NVC) workshops to foster mutual understanding and break down cultural echo chambers. Geographical obstacles: Participants from rural areas, isolated villages, or small towns where access to international youth work, civic engagement platforms, and modern non-formal education opportunities is severely limited compared to urban centers.
