SEN-Assist EU: UDL & Alternative Comm. for Complex Needs

Innovating VET curricula for SEN Assistants using Universal Design for Learning (UDL) and Alternative Communication tools for complex disabilities.

Programma Formazione Lavoro (PFL APS), an accredited VET provider in Southern Italy, trains "Communication and Autonomy Assistants". The professionals supporting students with severe disabilities in mainstream schools (SEN Assistants, AESH, Schulbegleiter) often lack updated, practical training on complex communicative needs. We want to innovate our VET curricula by co-designing specialized training modules targeting sensory and neurodevelopmental disabilities: Visual Impairment, Autism Spectrum, ADHD, and Deafness.
