Where?
In one of the little municipalities around Bergamo: a territory that has been strongly hitten by covid-19 during the first wave in the spring 2020. We are now working to create an alliance with some of these municipalities in order to receive important resources for the project.

When?
During the summer 2021, probably in august. We reserve to decide the precise dates according to the partner’s needs

What?
10 days of Youth Exchange ( travels excluded)

Main activities
1) A daily theater workshop based on the meeting theme: what means to meet someone in the post covid world? What feelings does it create? What needs? What valuere does the body have in the relationship with the others? How can I understand and communicate what I feel to the others? How can I listen to what they have to express without judging?
We will work on these themes, and others more, playing, acting, training and creating like actors, in a light, soft but deep environment, trying to learn how to take care of ours and others feelings and finding ways to accept, use and transform the difficult experience of quarantine and social restrictions. We really believe that theater and arts can help adolescents and the whole society to be more comprehensive of what we are living in this moment and to find new hope for looking at the future.
In this workshop we will also do activities of creating theater masks, an experience that is, for its nature, very social and able to stimulate a lot of thoughts and reflections.
The aim is to realize, for the last days of the project, a little but simple theater show through the streets of the village that will host us.

2) A workshop of digital and audio editing skills: we will work with digital tools in an artistic but simple way in order to collect stories from the people of the village and edit them in little audios or podcasts using music, words, effects and creativity.
The result will be a sort of little, artistic and digital audio-archive, that collects treces from the territory and from the participants of the project.
We will decide together how to use these materials, if including them in the last show or developing others alternatives.
The aim of this work is to facilitate the process of reconstruction of the social tissue of the hosting community strongly affected by the months of social restrictions. We will promote the dialog between and inside generations, but also between cultures.

3) Team working, non formal education and erasmus + workshops: activities to stimulate thoughts and reflection about society and to develop teamwork skills in a multicultural and multilingual environment through group games and challenges. We will also take time to speak about the Erasmus + possibilities for young people and the ways to access them.

Which participants?
We are planning to work with two groups of young participants (max 20) between 16 and 20 years old:
The first one is directly form the territory of Bergamo, and will be organized by Teatro Chapati (min 8- max 10)
The second one, from Spain, and will be organized by the partner organization (min8-max 10)

Objectives:
1) Discuss, accept, assimilate and overcome the problems and the difficulties generated by covid between young people.To use the last year experience to create new ambitions, new possibilities, and most of all, to make stronger the feeling of the community.

2) Create connections between generations, and between young and society, through art and creativity. Make young people more conscious about their role in the community and their active power in creating change.

Who are we looking for?
We are looking for partners who can join the idea of this project and who are willing to cooperate with us in the organization, most of all for what concerns the recruiting of the participants group from Spain.

For us it has always been important to create a net between organizations and between people that share the same ideals and wishes. We would be happy to cooperate this time also in order to create a connection and a dialog that will be of course rich and fruitful also for the future.

When we want to apply?
We wanted to apply in the call for proposals of spring, in order to have enough time to prepare the activities and the groups.
