The Partner-Finding Tool
In this project We hosted 17 volunteers in kindergartens, schools and our office.
In this individual volunteering project, despite the ongoing pandemic, numerous changes in schedules, the outbreak of war and the resignation of some host partners, 17 volunteers from EU and non-EU countries took part in this individual volunteering project. We implemented 8 activities, of which 5 were carried out in public kindergartens in Wrocław, and two in Democratic Primary Schools, one in the office of the Prom Foundation. Each activity involved 1-3 volunteers. In two activities, we hosted two people with fewer opportunities and from neighboring and candidate partner countries (5 people in total). Most mobilities lasted 9-10 months. Some participants extended their mobilities to 12 months. The participants are people aged 18-30, highly motivated, ready for a long stay abroad, willing to learn - especially foreign languages, creative and open-minded. For activities in educational institutions, participants had to have a clean criminal record.
Their tasks included, among others: conducting own classes according to interests, helping children in all activities (self-service, learning, playing, going out, trips, eating, socialization, language animations, organizing workshops and meetings for parents), supporting teachers in their activities. They were also involved in dissemination activities (e.g. family picnics, online activities on YouTube and FB due to the pandemic) and supplementary activities (expansion of the "Play with us" booklet with new games, workshops promoting it and the organization of the International Children's Day). in another group, under the supervision of a teacher and assistant(s). A volunteer working in the office helped in the implementation of projects run by the Foundation, supported the PR activities of the Foundation and EKS projects, and participated in activities conducted with children in community centers.
