Normandy at the heart of Europe, Europe at the heart of Normandy

2 youth meetings around the themes of migration throughout history and European values, based on an exploration of Norman heritage in Europe.

Project context
In 2027, the Normandy Region will highlight Normandy's heritage in Europe with numerous celebrations around the theme of “Normans, people of Europe.” All stakeholders in the Normandy region, as well as European countries with a Norman heritage, have been invited to participate in this celebration and promotion of a diverse history.
It is in this context that our association wishes to develop an Erasmus+ K152 Youth Exchange project to enable young Europeans to discover their shared historical and cultural heritage and, based on this common history, to exchange views on civic issues such as migration and major current societal challenges.
Objectives
- Provide young people with fewer opportunities with the chance to experience their first European mobility experience
- Promote intercultural dialogue among young Europeans
- Develop psychosocial, technological, and digital skills through non-formal education activities
- Develop engaged European citizenship
- Create sustainable European partnerships for youth

Target
- Partners : associations and/or schools in countries or regions with a Norman heritage on their territory (southern Italy, Sicily, Norway, Denmark, Flanders, Ireland)
- Participants : young people aged 16 to 20
7 young people per country/region
+ 1 group leader - young adult per country, 1 facilitating adult,1 accompanying adult
Priority will be given to young people with fewer opportunities for whom the mobility experience will be a first.
