Empowers youth with ADHD to personalize learning materials using AI tools, boosting academic potential and independent study skills.

NEURO-ADAPT AI Personalized Learning and Digital Pedagogy for Youth with ADHD

Type: KA1 Youth Exchange Duration: 5 Days (+2 Travel Days) Participants: 30 youth (18-25)
5 Partners+ Coordinator Country (Türkiye)

SUMMARY This project addresses the problem that standard and static educational materials fail to meet the neurodiversity-based learning needs of young people diagnosed with ADHD or those experiencing focus issues. The project enables young people to personalize their own learning materials and realize their academic potential by using generative AI tools such as ChatGPT and Canva.

KEY NEEDS

Lack of Self-Awareness: Young people do not recognize their own cognitive needs, attention cycles, and most effective learning styles.

Pedagogical Implementation Gap: Existing digital tools are not integrated into methodologies aimed at active content creation for neurodiverse individuals.

Insufficiency in Prompt Engineering: A lack of skills in giving effective commands to AI to simplify or visualize texts.

Executive Function Support: Loss of motivation due to a lack of planning, organization, and immediate feedback mechanisms.

OBJECTIVES To develop pedagogical methodologies where young people can produce digital learning materials suitable for their own neurological profiles; to strengthen independent learning and self-efficacy skills by creating a framework of self-awareness; and to ensure equal opportunity by alleviating the personalization burden on institutions.

PROGRAM STRUCTURE

Phase 1: Cognitive Profile and Self-Awareness: Discovery of personal learning styles and selection of materials suitable for attention cycles.

Phase 2: AI-Assisted Content Creation: ADHD-focused Prompt Engineering training; simplification and fragmentation (chunking) of complex texts.

Phase 3: Digitalization of Executive Functions: Integrating planning, organization, and gamification elements into materials.

Phase 4: Immediate Feedback and Ethics: Use of instant reward mechanisms for motivation and awareness of the responsible use of AI.

EXPECTED OUTCOMES Participants will achieve digital competence to manage their own learning processes; academic success will increase while test anxiety and procrastination issues will decrease; and the strong traits of youth with ADHD, such as creativity and hyper-focus, will be reintegrated into Europe's innovative workforce.
