Bursa Uludag University (BUU) is a prominent state university established in 1975, dedicated to raising contemporary individuals equipped with scientific and ethical values. Located in Bursa, Turkey’s 4th largest city and a bridge between history and modern industry, the university serves as a major educational and research hub.
Academic Capacity: BUU hosts approximately 70,000 students and over 2,500 academic staff members. The academic structure encompasses 15 faculties, 3 schools, 15 vocational schools, 4 institutes, and a state conservatory. In 2021, it was officially designated as one of Turkey's "Research Universities" by the Council of Higher Education, highlighting its high-level scientific output.
International Focus & Youth Work: The university attaches great importance to internationalization, hosting around 7,000 international students from over 120 countries. BUU is deeply involved in European mobility programs (Erasmus+, ESC) and scientific frameworks (Horizon Europe). Through its Career Application and Research Center and various student clubs, BUU actively supports youth employment, entrepreneurship, and social responsibility projects.
Facilities: The main Görükle Campus offers a complete living environment with a large research hospital, a 24/7 library, sports complexes, and student dormitories. Additionally, the campus houses ULUTEK (Technology Development Zone), which bridges the gap between academia and industry, providing unique opportunities for technology-based youth initiatives.
Eco-Truth trains youth workers to detect greenwashing, verify eco-claims, and create ethical content using the Green Lens Field Kit.
25 youth workers learn AI verification, contextual prompting, and ethics, then co-create the “Context Compass” toolkit and run local workshops.
Empowers youth to turn environmental awareness into concrete, realistic sustainable actions through experiential learning.
Empowers youth with ADHD to personalize learning materials using AI tools, boosting academic potential and independent study skills.
Empowers youth to question dark designs and impulsive consumption via media literacy, transforming them from passive consumers to active citizens.
Equips youth with media literacy to combat disinformation and digital manipulation, empowering them as ethical advocates for democratic values.
