nEFA. non-formal Education For All

International project seeking provide formal-educational professionals with non-formal learning tools and methodologies.

The “Education for All” has become a slogan in the mouths of a big part of the educators around the world, showing the increasing demand for an education that addresses everyone, regardless of gender, sex, nationality, religion, health, social status and everything else that has been excluding children and adults from their right to education until now in any context.
This project goes one step forward and suggests the adoption of non-formal learning methods in the educational system, since these methods are proved to be learner friendly, promoting the bottom-up approach and peer to peer education, helping learners to not only learn but learn how to learn and be more active in the educational setting. Apart from suggesting, we will empower active professionals in the education providing them with tools and methodologies to apply in their teaching, but mostly to create their own educational tools and methods.
“non-formal Education for All” will involve 24 teachers, professors and other education professionals, from 10 countries, training them in non-formal methods and making them multipliers of these methods in their work and in their countries. At the same time, the training will be an asset for the capacity building of the participating organizations, while it will be opening a door to the world of institutionalized education.
The candidates shall be professionals working in any level of education. Since the training will be totally in English, all the participants shall have good command of the language or other good communicational skills such as sign languages.
