NEB-b-Y is a project designed for the young Europeans, with the objective to bring the principles of the New European Bauhaus initiative into the daily life, leveraging the capacity of youngster to build future scenarios and their sensitiveness towards environmental issues thus empowering them with a robust set of skills and competences in order to contribute to the new European Green Deal. NEB-b-Y will be centered around the topic of environmental citizenship, combining training on-the-spot (challenge based learning in pilot cities) with regards to the three axes of NEB (aesthetics - sustainability - togetherness/inclusiveness) and raising awareness on individual responsibility on environmental matters.
While doing so, participants will increase their knowledge on flagship initiatives of the European Commission and will become more active citizens, taking the lead in the construction of a more sustainable, greener and fair future.
In addition, challenge based learning will provide them with green skills and soft skills (as defined by EU frameworks GreenComp and LifeComp), in combination with basic entrepreneurial and digital skills that will support the implementation of tangible actions at local level in hosting cities.
