Nature Symphony

The project provides practicing outdoor activities and mountain hiking as a means of promoting a healthy lifestyle among young people and also as a tool to develop self-respect and respect for others and concern for cultural diversity. Our project aims to use outdoor activities as an engine to promote interaction among young participants who learn best when they are engaged in joint activities.

Youth Exchange objectives:
-to increase the motivation of interaction between young people with and without hearing impairments;
-to facilitate social interaction among young people with and without hearing impairments;
-to acquire and enhance participants’ knowledge about auditory disabilities;
-to stimulate reflection upon adopting and maintaining a healthy lifestyle;
-to foster feelings of sharing common values.

Partner’s Profile:
-non-profit organizations, youth organizations;
-experience in the youth field;
-experience in working with people with fewer opportunities;
-knowledge of English in order to facilitate communication.

Participants’ profile:
-10 young people aged 14 – 18 years old (half of them with hearing impairment) who like spending time outdoor. No language skills are required for the participants. Basic knowledge of English is required for the youth leaders and knowledge of sign language would be an advantage.

Team composition:
-2 participating countries, from each country: 10 youngsters + 2 youth leaders +1 youth leader for the youngsters with hearing impairment.
