The mission of Voluntariat pentru Viata is to promote volunteering and civic consciousness.
Asociatia Voluntariat pentru Viata performs the following duties:
– develops activities based on non-formal education aiming to enhance social functioning, integration and cooperation among young people;
– provides counsel, therapy and specialized assistance in order to prevent social marginalization;
Asociatia Voluntariat pentru Viata was founded in November 2012 and is aiming to meet the underprivileged people's needs, offering them help and support, respecting their dignity.
This support aims at:
– helping individuals who have a critical social situation , using medical and social emergency procedures;
– assisting these people in recovering their independence and their capacity of self-determination;
– ensuring minimal dignified living conditions for individuals who can't manage their own resources.
Through its programs, Asociatia Voluntariat pentru Viata wishes to assist these categories of underprivileged people, helping them to integrate and adapt themselves and last but not least, supporting and giving them information related to finding a job or the possibility of vocational training or retraining.
The aims of the Association are:
– to provide social assistance services in accordance with the legislation in force;
– to offer multidisciplinary services for individuals who find themselves in situations of critical social difficulty;
– to provide support for people in need who are socially excluded;
– to handle the post-crisis period;
– to conduct social research and monitor the phenomenon of social exclusion;
– to plan programs of assistance for individuals who are in social crisis;
– to train professionals in working with underprivileged people;
– to set up and collaborate with day centres and residential care facilities.

Past projects

Keep Walking! Be European!

The main objective of the project is to involve 4 young volunteers , on a period of 6 months, in non-formal activities, in order to reduce marginalization.

Nature Symphony

Nature Symphony is a Youth Exchange which aims to increase tolerance among youngsters with hearing impairment and youngsters without disabilities.

Dignity in Community

A long-term EVS project that aims to involve 4 volunteers in occupational therapy activities with the elderly in order to facilitate their social inclusion.

Silence the Violence

Silence the Violence is a Youth Exchange which aims to prevent physical violence among teens through sports and theatre arts.

Different but Equal

A long-term EVS project that aims to involve 10 volunteers in leisure education activities for disadvantaged children to facilitate their social inclusion.

EVS Architects of Change

This is a long-term EVS project that aims to increase the chances of social integration of youth from rural areas by improving their life skills.

Smile To You

A long-term EVS project that aims to prevent the phenomenon of bullying among youngsters from disadvantaged communities through non-formal education activities.
