Music Connects Europe: international arts partnerships, teacher job shadowing, youth workshops and cultural learning journeys with shared reflections.
Planned Activities – Music Connects Europe
Our project aims to establish international cooperation between arts schools, youth organisations and cultural institutions across Europe, with a focus on non-formal education, artistic creativity and intercultural learning.
We are interested in developing the following activities:
1. Job Shadowing and Professional Development
International study visits, job shadowing and exchange of good practices for teachers and youth workers. We would like to observe different approaches to arts education, share teaching experiences and explore innovative methods supporting creativity, motivation and personal development.
2. International Artistic Cooperation
Joint creative workshops and interdisciplinary activities involving music, dance, visual arts and drama. We aim to bring young people from different European countries together through artistic experiences, intercultural communication and collaborative projects.
3. European Cultural Discovery and Learning Journeys
We would also like to develop opportunities for young adults, particularly those who have recently turned 18, to explore Europe through educational journeys inspired by the DiscoverEU initiative.
Participants would actively plan their journeys, visit selected European cities, cultural institutions, museums, galleries and artistic venues, and discover different cultural traditions and approaches to the arts.
An essential part of this activity would be reflection and sharing experiences after returning home. Participants would present their discoveries, observations and newly acquired knowledge to fellow students, teachers and the wider school community through presentations, discussions and creative activities.
The aim is to encourage independence, intercultural understanding, personal responsibility and lifelong learning while connecting individual experiences with the educational environment of our school.
4. Long-Term Partnerships and Knowledge Sharing
We would like to develop sustainable European partnerships, exchange educational experiences and create opportunities for future projects connecting formal arts education with non-formal and experiential learning.
Our overall goal is to demonstrate how music and the arts can connect people, cultures and generations across Europe.
