Basic Art School Klášterec nad Ohří

We are a public elementary arts school (ZUŠ) located in Klášterec nad Ohří, Czech Republic. Our school provides afterschool comprehensive arts education for children and young people in four disciplines: music, dance, visual arts and drama.

Our mission is to nurture creativity, artistic expression, personal development and meaningful social connections through the arts. We believe that artistic education plays an important role in developing confidence, communication, cooperation and emotional awareness.

Alongside regular art education, we organise concerts, performances, exhibitions, artistic workshops, festivals and community cultural events. We encourage interdisciplinary collaboration and offer students opportunities to develop their talents through shared creative experiences.

We are interested in establishing international partnerships within Erasmus+, particularly in the field of non-formal youth education. Through our future initiative “Music Connects Europe”, we aim to connect young people and educators from different countries through music, dance, theatre and visual arts.

We are looking for partner schools, youth organisations and cultural institutions interested in creative exchanges, joint artistic projects, intercultural learning and innovative educational approaches.

Our goal is to build meaningful, long-term international relationships that inspire young people, promote mutual understanding and demonstrate the power of the arts to connect cultures.
