META TRAINING COURSE: Methodologies for European Trainers in Action

We have detected a lack of information and resources for trainers to motivate and unlock the potential of young volunteers.

Since our organisation works offering training for young people (ESC volunteers, local volunteers and
trainers in general), we have detected a lack of information and resources for trainers to motivate and unlock
the potential of young volunteers. In this regard, this training will contribute to fulfilling the needs of
organisations active in Erasmus+, ESC projects, as well as youth workers dedicated to develop and facilitate
training. Furthermore, it will show participants the competences needed to work with young volunteers as
facilitators and trainers, enabling them to reach the position professionally.
The main objective of this mobility of youth workers is to develop a common training methodology at the
European level among all partners coming from different backgrounds based on the needs of volunteers and
organisations. We will offer youth workers skills and tools to implement innovative and inspirational
trainings for volunteers in their local communities as well as Erasmus+ mobility programs. In order to
achieve this goal, we will design a non-formal education methodology inviting youth workers from our local
community and professionals working in the field of volunteer training and management.
We will arrange a 6-day training course in which we will deliver seminars as well as peer-2-peer sessions.
In this training, youth workers coming from different backgrounds will share their experiences and good
practises. In addition, it will include ice-breakers and dynamics aimed at providing a good environment as
well as a network for youth workers from all over Europe for potential future common projects.
Furthermore, the training course will provide the participants with reflection time, where they will be able to
think about their own practises and approaches to young volunteers and how they could possibly be
improved with the new resources and skills gained during the training.
The expected date of the implementation of this training course is August 1st-6th, 2022.
