Maths around us

We are group of youth aged 17-19. We live near big city: Wrocław in the south-west of Poland. Wrocław is famous for great history that integrates traditions of different countries, cultures and religions. Currently Wrocław is the fast developing cultural, social and academic centre. In 2012 Wrocław was a host during EURO 2012

Our project is related to practical implementation of maths in the world around us. Dynamic development of technology is a great challenge to young people nowadays. The people with advanced knowlege on technology and science are headhunted on the labour market. Our knowledge in this matter is still too theoretical. During the process of learning we usually don't find practical reference to specific use which make it difficult to understand the sense of what we are learning and we quickly loose enthusiasm.

Using the project we would like to search for practical use of math in the world around us. We would like to experience the excitement in discovery of rules that control our world and gain enthusiasm to further development of our educational passions.

We are looking for 7 people groups aged 17-20 from 4 different European countries (+ one leader). We are really intend on people fond of maths, who want to develop their mathematical passions.
