MASCULINE LANGUAGE

Gender relations represent unequal power relations for men and women in almost every aspect of life.

In almost every sphere of life, gender relations are damaged by discourses. Violence, which starts with discourses, brings psychological pressure and physical trauma with it. Raising public awareness about the use of Masculine Language is among the main objectives of the project. Our aim to realize the Masculine Language Project is to reduce the violence originating from the language and words used and to eliminate some patterns in the language.

In this context, awareness will be raised among the participants about the perceptions that cause gender inequality. For example; pink t-shirts will be distributed to men and blue colored t-shirts to women. There will be a mixed football match between girls and boys.

For the cultural night to be held within the scope of the project, the participants will prepare a presentation describing their own culture and traditions and bring their own food, drink and clothes. Various information will be provided at the conference, which will be held one month before the event, to enable them to meet Turkish culture. It will be created for participants who want to have good project experience, and each group will have experienced leaders.
The age groups of the participants who will participate in our project will be female and male (18-25).

Where we will carry out the project: Iğdır / TURKEY
