Life is Gorgeous Be Together

LGBT+ individuals are subjected to physical, verbal, psychological, emotional, economic, and democratic violence in society. Researches show that LGBT+ individuals are exposed to stigma, discrimination, and harassment more than other individuals, and because of these reasons, they have a higher risk of depression, suicidal thoughts, and mental illness. Increasing LGBT+ awareness in society is extremely important and the education of young people should be increased in order to protect the freedom of living and existence of each individual. Young individuals, who constitute the majority of the society, may have difficulties in empathy due to their insufficient awareness and knowledge of LGBT+, and the social, economic, cultural, educational, the religious status of the families also may cause them to develop prejudice. This project’s goal is to enhace the awareness and knowledge of the youth, in this way, participants will have a chance to shape the next generation without any discrimination and stigma towards the LGBT+.

The project will be realized in ISTANBUL, TURKEY.
