KA152 - S.A.F.E.: Safety Awareness for Emergencies

Project idea shaped around the increasing need for youngsters to better understand natural disasters, emergency situations and community-based preparedness.

The project aims to raise awareness
among young people about disasters and emergency situations, and to prepare them as
more conscious youth leaders through gamified non-formal learning activities. As natural
disasters and crisis situations continue to affect communities across Europe, lack of
awareness and preparedness can lead to preventable risks and loss of life.
Planned activities may include:
● AFAD institutional visit, which will be one of the key components of the project;
● Study visits related to disaster management, emergency response or civil
protection;
● Non-formal education workshops on disaster preparedness, crisis management
and youth participation;
● Practical group activities, simulations and reflection sessions;
● Intercultural learning activities and partner country presentations;
● A final output or awareness activity designed by participants.
