This project will be implemented in our sending institution IES Gabriel Miró from Spain and the hosting institution AFPDM from Portugal.
This is a VET Student and Staff mobility Project implemented in Vocational Education and Training (VET) studies: Health and Social Care and Electronics, Hairdressing Initial VET. This Project consists of student mobilities for training (SMT) and staff mobilities for training (STT) in Montijo,Portugal.
Background of the Project: the institution has eight-year previous experience in HE Europe funded mobility activities and one year experience in VET Eramus+ mobilities in Finland ( call 2016). The Project is intended as the best way to give continuity to an European student and teacher training mobility experience which started under Erasmus Life-Long Learning Programme (LLP) 2007-2013 in 2008. The institution has been participating in student mobilities since then. Thanks to this Erasmus+ project students and teachers from VET and Initial VET studies will carry out work placements as part of their degree and job shadowing activities for training in Portugal in order to improve their learning performance in a real work environment, their employability and career prospects and foster foreign language competences.
The objectives proposed for our students are competency-based, such as Cooperate and participate with a professional approach; To be active and integrated within the team work in health and social care, hairdressing and electronics; To be involved in planning and implementing activities according to methods, spaces, schedule, materials, resources . Understand and adhere to all policies and procedures relevant to their role and safety regulations; Learn from effective and good practices in the host company.
The whole institution IES Gabriel Miró can benefit directly or indirectly from the opportunities afforded by this Erasmus+ KA102 project. It is expected that the project will give very satisfactory learning results and impact.
Information about SMT mobilities. Description of planned activities. Two students will undertake mobilities for training: .........in total in a hosting small company related to their professional profile in the field of Health and Social Care, Hairdressing and Electronics in Montijo, Portugal These mobilities for training will have full academic recognition in their official VET studies certificate within 3018 " On the Job Training" module in Electronics Initial VET studies,3067 " On the Job Training" module in Hairdressing and 0220 "On the Job Training" in Health and Social Care.
Information about STT mobilities. Teachers will undertake activities: training days in total: Five-day Job Shadowing and two travel days for each of them in a host VET institution EPN-AFPDM in Montijo, Portugal.
These mobilities will bring positive and long-lasting effects on the participants and the institution IES Gabriel Miró.
ACTIVITIES: Developing the framework for cooperation between the competent institutions IES Gabriel Miró and the hosting insitution AFPDM . It has been studied during the contact seminar held in Montijo in December 2016 and agreed during the application phase. Continuous Online contact betweeen both institutions.
Establishing a list of VET providers and companies: Elderly people homes, Social Integration centres, Hairdressing and Electronics small companies in Montijo and Lisbon.
Arrangement of the basic aspec ts for the implementation of mobiliites. AFPDM will organise, arrange and adevise about accommodation, travel to work, Health and Accident Insurance, work clothes, meals during the stay, inmersive programme, language and cultural preparation.
Defining Training Agreements for teachers and students. Implementing these training agreements during the mobilities. Assessing the results, outcomes, experiences and project at the end of the experience.
LONG TIME BENEFITS: Give opportunity to our VET and Initial VET students for training abroad in Europe and developing the Internationalization Strategy of our institution. At a national level, if our application is successful we will have the opportunity to participate in National Training Meetings organized by SEPIE and share good practices with other national VET intistutions. At an European and International level, we will be also a hosting institution for other VET institutions willing to visit us and as it is the case of our nowadays partner from Portugal AFPDM that has also applied for a KA102 and plan to send us eight students.
