Gabriel Miro is a state educational institution depending on Valencian Regional Education authority.
The Specific Vocational Training is part of the Spanish Educational System and consists of a group of training courses aimed at providing the necessary professional qualifications to carry out various professions. We offer three advanced vocational training cycles that are considered short cycle Higher Education: Child Care and Education, Equal Genre Promotion and Social Integration. We also offer one intermediate training cycle in Health and Social Care. They are official titles. All of them belong to Sociocultural and Community Services VET family.
Our institution has some previous experience in international student exchanges with Chicago (USA) as well as other European activities such as the European Youth Meeting of the 10 regions belonging to the European Regions for Youth Network (ERY) which took place in Rimini (Italy) in 2008. We have participated successfully in Erasmus mobility for student's on the job training programme since 2009 and we are now participating in Erasmus+ KA1 and KA2 activities.
Current Erasmus+ projects: KA103 2015 with two Student Mobilities for Training ( SMT) in UK and two Staff Mobilities for Training (STT) in Finland.
Higher Education Student and Staff mobility Project in Child Care and Education and Social IShort cycle. This Project consists of SMT and STTin UK and Finland.
This project implemented in IES Gabriel Miró and AFPDM. VET Student and Staff mobility Project VET Health and Social Care and Electronics and Hairdressing.
Fostering Participation in VET is a mobility KA102 project for students and staff based on the adquisition of professional & soft skills in a European Context.
