sharing initiatives on biodiversity and food sustainability but which operate in an area where people with mental disabilities are the ones to make inclusion.
The theme of food has always been the primary vehicle of contact and peaceful exchange between different cultures and already in many projects, it has been observed how the power of food is also able to equalize differences, in certain contexts. Smoothing the reluctance towards diversity and mixing the infinite shades of humanity in the experiential scenario.
It is a question of imagining a project where the countryside, crops, ancillary structures, logistic spaces, etc. constitute that basic context for an open interaction without levels and obstacles towards the different.
sharing experiences and experimenting with the possibility of creating a place where there are structures to carry out a serious activity of transmitting knowledge in the field of fruit and vegetable crops, of archaic and innovative cultivation techniques. Where it is possible for both children and adults to understand the wonders of plant biodiversity and fulfill their curiosity by practicing cultivation accompanied by the supervision of the disabled. Making diversity “normal” but above all interesting.
It is a question of imagining a place where cultivated products are cyclically transformed and shared in well-studied and communicated gastronomic events that have a specific theme, an understandable context and an economic purpose capable of supporting the continuation of the association's initiative. Where the simplicity of peaceful coexistence is perceived and assimilated as an added value.
