Games up!

Feasibility visit in december 2011 to find common ground to organise a training in 2012 concerning ‘facilitation of games’ for international youth workers.

Project Proposal
We’d like to set up a FEASIBILITY VISIT within the frame of Action 4.3 of the Youth in Action Program.
Our project in 3 core lines:
• theme: ‘facilitation of games’
• frame: non formal education, youth work
• goals: - explore the different organizations (both Flemish and European organizations)
- find a common ground for the organization of a training (4.3 YIA) in 2012 concerning ‘facilitation of games’ for international youth workers.
- Hopefully build up the basis for a more structural cooperation in the future.

Are you our missing link?
On one hand we’d like to use this feasibility visit as a way to cross the ‘borders’ of different Flemish youth organizations, but also to get in touch with European partners in game. We are already a group of 4 different Flemish partners. So at his moment we are in search of European organizations that deal with/ have experience in giving training about and by means of games.

Each organization can send up to 2 participants to the feasibility visit. We aim to have a total of 7 partners and between 7 and 12 participants. (no age limit involved!).

We will take up the writing of the application and organization of the feasibility visit. What roll you may take up in the future organization of the training will be discussed during the feasibility visit.

Money, money, money
• Travel expenses of participants will be reimbursed 70%.
• Food and lodging is covered by the YIA-program: 51 euro/day/participant

Place to be!
The feasibility visit will take place in Belgium.

Dates!
Project application: 1st of September 2011
Duration project: December 2011 – April/May 2012
Duration activity: 3 days in December 2011 (without traveltime)

Who are ‘we’?
We are already with 4 Flemish youth organizations that would like to get into the game:
• ‘C.I.S.’, An Yskout / Joost Capiau (Belgium):youth organization that develops, facilitates and distributes educational games in the field of youth work, education and social profit.
• ‘Koning Kevin’, Simon Wemel (Belgium): youth organisation that focuses on game, facilitation skills and the artistic fields by organizing youth camps, trainings, … .
• ‘Chiro Nationaal’, Evi Houben (Belgium) : national organisation that supports local youth movements in their weekly playing activities with youngsters.
• ‘VDS’, Kwinten Fort (Belgium) : national organisation that supports local playground workings in their activities for youngsters.
