Game of Dances (GoD)

Sedentary life affects health.Stress influences mental balance.People are defaced by globalization, lose connection with their roots.Societies need tolerance.

Sedentary habits like sitting in front of a TV, computer, driving instead of walking, no sports or other physical activity appear to have turned modern generations into obese people with cardiovascular diseases, diabetes etc. DANCE CAN CHANGE THAT.

Contemporary lifestyle is burdened with stress, anxiety, lack of rest and relaxation, modern issues like unemployment, over-consumption etc cause a disruption of mental health, turning people into anti-social, depresssed, aggressive, marginalized community members. DANCE CAN CHANGE THAT.

Modern universalized trends and fashions have levelled particular features of diverse populations driving them away from their heritage base, rendering them oblivious of the loss at stake. Rootless trees are condemned. Tradition-less people are rootless trees. DANCE CAN CHANGE THAT.

Recent increased fluxes of immigrants and refugees have triggered unprecedented, for modern post-war times, attitudes of xenophobia, intolerance, discrimination, exclusion and racism. DANCE CAN CHANGE THAT.

GoD is almighty and can empower participants into realizing this power and practise it in an entertaining way in order to become physically active and fit, mentally balanced and happy, re-connect with family roots, traditional principles and ancestral heritage as well as develop tolerant, humanitarian, inclusive awareness.

This Youth Exchange, along with the APV to be held prior to the YE (APV: 27-28/5/2018), will be a NFE project aspiring to raise great issues of personal and social gravity in a interactive, enjoyable and efficient way.
