Friendship Awards

We are a group of 10-20 people, called Joensuu Youth Council. In this organization there are both boy and girl students from Upper Secondary schools and Elementary schools, aged 14-19. We organize events and activities for youngsters in our city, and we are also acting in the local decision-making representing the youth of Joensuu. Because of the variety of people in our council, our interests are also vast, all the way from the music and dancing to photography and videoing.

We are very outgoing and social and we want to learn, see and experience as much as we can. We never get bored and we have a lot of fun with everyone, with you too.

In the exchange we would like to learn something new about other European cultures and lifestyles. We would also like to get to know your local everyday life, like friends, food, sports, leisure activities, music and so on. Almost whatever you like. Foremost we would like to have fun and get new international friends by doing something meaningful.

We are open for almost any kind of project ideas, feel free to suggest. Perhaps sports and youth affecting are our main “targets”.

We hope that the group would be around the same age as we are and they would share some common interests with us. And of course ready for the mutual exchange. We also hope that in your group there are both girls and boys, and you are ready to have fun.
