The food literacy project aims to raise awareness about access to healthy food. WEB: https://foodliteracy.project-eu.com/
Our prime objective is to ensure access to accurate information, enhancing food literacy awareness throughout society.
Collaborating with partners, we'll conduct an in-depth needs analysis across four countries. The outcome will be compiled into a comprehensive "Food Literacy Needs Analysis Book," available in Turkish, German, French, Romanian, and English, both in print and e-book forms. This guide will serve as a current resource for academic and institutional circles invested in this subject.
Using insights from the needs analysis, we'll launch a user-friendly Food Literacy Mobile App, offering reliable and quick access. Users can seamlessly integrate precise information into their lives, understanding the significance of food literacy.
For visual learners, we'll create videos to promote food literacy and Mobile App use. This cross-cultural effort will involve partners' academic and technical prowess. Aligned with the EC's Digital Education Action Plan, our Mobile App is a global asset, granting swift access to vital food literacy info, food codes to calorie calculations. We aim to enhance awareness in various regions by collaborating with our European and Romanian partners and leveraging their project expertise. Each partner has a role in this multidisciplinary endeavour. Leveraging the project expertise of our European partners, we aspire to foster multinational food literacy awareness. Each project partner is well-equipped to fulfil their designated responsibilities, with teams comprising academics, subject experts, technologists, Erasmus+ experienced youth workers, and even representatives from disadvantaged backgrounds. By providing accessible tools, informative content, and comprehensive research findings in multiple languages, this project will empower consumers to make informed and healthier food choices.
It directly addresses the identified needs and aims to bridge the knowledge gap while promoting food education and awareness among partner countries.
