Factory of success: Start up you(th) life

Main aim of the project is to increase the chances of access to the labor and business market of young people by increasing their entrepreneurial skills.

On of the main challenges in European Union is unemployment, especially youth unemployment. Many youths are interested in starting their own businesses, have innovative and good ideas and enthusiasm for accomplishing it, but lack of business knowledge and are scared of entrepreneurship. Young people do not have the necessary skills to enter the labor market or start private initiatives and when they try to enter the ever changing business world they come across with lots of barriers, such as lack of working experience, lack of funding opportunities, they don't have enough access to correct and timely informations and they lack of non-formal skills essentials for entering the labor market or starting their businesses. In collaboration with our partners we identified that such issues can be directly tackled by increasing the participants chances of access to the labor and business market through developing and increasing their basic entrepreneurial skills. This project revolves around the idea of making entrepreneurship more accessible to the youth. With this project we want to inspire youth all over the world to take action and engage in entrepreneurship, to acquire non-formal skills needed for doing that and to turn their dreams and ideas into reality – to start up their youth life. Through this project participants will gain both information and acquire basic non-formal skills and knowledge about entrepreneurship and how to personally tackle the above mentioned issues. By participating in the project they will gain much needed self-confidence for entering into business world. These skills will be developed through non-formal activities such as workshops on writing resumes and cover letters, debates on youth unemployment and pro's and con's of working for others and having own business, workshops of business ideas (to stimulate entrepreneurial spirit and creativity) and by meeting and discussing with young Croatian entrepreneurs.

Specific objectives of the project are:

• developing basic skills and knowledge of the steps needed to create a business for 30 young participants from 5 countries,
• developing youngsters knowledge and skills needed for entering into labour market and entrepreneurship through writing resume, writing cover letters, presenting themselves to others, creating their own startup business plans and team working,
