Summary:
"Facilitation" and "Facilitator" are probably the two most used words in Youth in Action projects. Facilitators can serve many different roles including developmental intervention in meetings, running workshops, conducting experience-based training, and guiding team development. Based on that melting pot of possible fields of action where a facilitator can be present we can say that the theme of the training course – FACILITATION - is focusing around the competences of European youth workers and youth leaders. Our thoughts around creating this training was to provide space for participants coming from programme countries and neighbouring partner countries to share good practices and knowledge of youth workers and youth leaders from different organizations and improve their skills in facilitating and coordinating different groups of young people. Adding to this the intercultural dimension of having different cultures sharing and experiencing youth work methods and facilitating group methods.
The aim of the training course is capacitating youth workers and leaders with facilitation competences in the framework of international youth exchanges.

Specific objectives:
- To develop the necessary knowledge, skills and attitudes of youth workers and leaders as facilitators within international youth activities in the field of the Youth in Action programme;
- To develop and improve skills for using methods as a facilitator;
- To underline differences and similarities between trainers and facilitators;
- To raise awareness about quality aspects of international youth activities such as European dimension, active participation, cultural diversity and non-formal education;
- To raise awareness and learn the ways to ensure active participation of young people during preparation, implementation and evaluation phases of youth projects;
- To reflect on participants’ experiences and create recommendations for management of next projects within the Youth in Action programme;
- To offer the opportunity to meet possible partner groups.
