With this project we want to capacitate the NGO’s to help the former and future EVS volunteers to use in a better way the experience gained during the EVS stage
This project idea it’s a follow up of one of the strategic partnerships were we are involved as partners together with YOU NET from Italy, OVPELO (Optimisation of Validation Process for EVS Learning Autcomes). The idea of that project it’s connected with the recognition of the experience gained during the EVS stages. With this project we want to capacitate the NGO’s to have the knowledge and experience to help the former and future EVS volunteers to use in a better way this experience.
Working language: English – all participants are expected to be able to actively communicate using English language
Overall Objectives of the project
The main objective we want to address with this project is the youth unemployment with special focuss on EVS volunteers.
The general objectives are:
- To develop the cooperation between 10 youth NGO’s from 10 countries
- To increase the knowledge about how to get a job for 60 former or future EVS volunteers from 10 countries
- To train 20 youth workers, responsible for volunteers or volunteers from 10 NGO’s to learn how to prepare the EVS volunteers to use their experience in EVS in finding a job
- To develop the cooperation and youth participation to fight unemployment between youngsters
- To promote the use of EVS stages as experience for the new job by 60 former or future EVS volunteers from 10 countries
- To promote tolerance and understanding between 90 youngsters
Our project objectives are:
For the training:
1. To increase the capacity of 20 youth workers, social workers, volunteers responsible and volunteers of the 10 partner NGO’s in preparing the EVS volunteers to use their experience in EVS in finding a job
2. To create one guide which to help former and future EVS volunteers to use the EVS stage to develop theyr skils and competences for the future job
3. To offer the possibility to 20 youth workers, social workers, volunteers responsible and volunteers of the 10 partner NGO’s to exchange experience about how to capacitate volunteers in order to get a job
4. To increase the knowledge of 20 participants about how to coach and asist EVS volunteers in finding a job and readapting to theyr home reality
5. To increase the knowledge of 20 participants about Eures – the European job mobility portal
For the exchange:
1. To increase the capacity of 20 youth workers, social workers and volunteers of the 10 partner NGO’s in counseling and guiding youngsters to readapt to their local reality after an EVS stage
2. To capacitate 60 former or future volunteers in how to present themselfes and the experience gained durring the EVS stage when they search for a job
3. To offer the opportunity to 60 youngsters to live in an intercultural environment
4. To offer the opportunity to 60 youngsters to understand more how to use the international experience thay have in finding a job
5. To offer the opportunity to 60 youngsters to find out more about the opportunities offered by Erasmus plus and other European programs to study and build a career abroad
The project has 2 components:
1. One seminar on employment and how to capacitate EVS volunteers to get a job when they turn back home after one stage for 20 youth workers, social workers, volunteers responsible and volunteers of the 10 partner NGO’s
2. One youth exchange about how to face an interview after an EVS stage for 60 former or future EVS volunteers
Participants:
- For the seminar: 3/country youth workers, social workers, volunteers responsible and volunteers of the 10 partner NGO’s which will be the group leaders for the exchanges having the oportunity to put in practice what they learned during the training
- For the echange 5 participants former or future volunteers 18-30 years old and one group leader
Time: Duration of the project is 9 months,
- Duration of the seminar 8 days
- Duration of the first exchange 9 days
